The Motmots

We are the Motmots: Stephen K. Reeder and Anna Breitenberger

Steve grew up in Southern California, when he should have been doing his homework. Instead he was skateboarding, or trying to screen print his own punk-rock T-shirts. Anna comes from Merano, Italy. She had an idyllic childhood picking wild mushrooms in the Alps, and eventually studied art and graphic design at the University of applied arts in Vienna, Austria. They met while studying graphic design and printmaking at California State University, Fullerton. After spending a few years working in the streetwear and skateboard industries, they decided to set our on their own. Starting Motmot Design in 2004, in 2006 they opened the Motmot Shop in Vienna’s creative hot-spot, the 7th district.
